Port Glasgow is a very small parish. According to the report in the Old Statistical Account it was formerly part of Kilmacolm and separated in 1695. It consisted of 7 farms.
Robertson(1818) gives the following names within the Table of Property (p 410):
Easter & Wester Devols
Easter Douglahill
Wester Douglahill
Dubbs
Braehead
Newark Gardens (site of the Town & Feus etc)
The total value of this parish remains very uncertain. I doubt it was more than 15 merklands in total.
