Who?

My name is Denis Rixson. I am a retired school-teacher (Mallaig) with an interest in early Scottish history.

My interest in land-assessment stemmed from an interest in mediaeval West Highland galleys. These represented huge capital investments which required a fiscal system to man and maintain them.
