J Smith gave 98½m for Inverchaolan in his General View of the Agriculture of the County of Argyll, 1798. I find 105½m based on the 1751 parish boundaries but to this we should add 4m Ardachuple which was transferred to Glendaruel after 1642. I am not certain of the parish boundary in the north. In 1642 it appears that Inverchaolain and Strathlachlan were united and it is difficult to see how this would work unless they were physically contiguous. In 1642 we also learn that Glentarsen was Inverchaolain and was to be transferred to Kilmun. It may be that other farms such as Garrachra were also once Inverchaolain. The minimum total for Inverchaolain was 109½m and it may have been as high as 120m. There is very little evidence for us to formulate a precise pennyland to merkland ratio but I suspect it was also 1d to 4m making the parish just under 1½ ouncelands in total.
