Polvig, Carnoch and Leiknamoy are described as being within the parish of Kilmaluog, Lordship of Lorn, in 1745 (E754/1) where there is also a reference to Carnoch being in the parish of Lismore. (Kilmaluag is the name of the parish of Lismore).
