The estate of Fairburn – which included Mid-Fairburn, Kirk-Fairburn or Eglis, Auchnasaul, Ballebraid and Moymoir – appears in a succession of retours:
Retours (Ross) (172) 1590, (56) 1621, (96) 1647 & (120) 1665.
There were a number of changes to this parish in the late 19th century. See Shennan pp 7-8, 132-3, 136-7.
The table gives 8½ davachs for Urray (Ardnagrask, Muir of Ord, Tomich and Lettoch were earlier in Kilmorack parish). There are a further 1½ davachs in Kilchrist although I may be missing some data here.
There was a detached davach of Urray within Contin (qv). (It is marked on the Index Sheet to the OS 6″ 1st edition maps of Ross-shire).
