Caithness and Sutherland Records Vol I, Part IX, London, 1922

Bangor-Jones pp 153-168 in Baldwin 1986 – specifically p 164 fig 10.3.

Bangor-Jones gives farms with a total of 123d which is 3d (½ a davach) short of 7 ouncelands or 21 davachs. I give 25 davachs in the table.

SHS Sutherland Estate Management Vol 1 Report by P Sellar 1811 Section VI Lands in the Parish of Golspie is important in giving us a detailed breakdown of the individual holdings. In the same volume are further lists from 1808, 1815 and 1802-16.

OPS II, II p 649, quoting Sutherland Charters, gives us a list of farms from which teind-sheaves were drawn in 1581 – including:

Uppat
