With the sole exception of Skene’s source, who is also wrong for Rum and Canna, Muck is consistently described as 6m Old Extent. According to the Argyll Valuation Roll of 1751 the three component townships were Kile, Balimenoch & Gallanoch. It originally belonged to the Bishop of the Isles.
