Kilmichael

Kilmichael is now known as Knockdow and should be distinguished from ‘Old Knockdow’ (NS 095743). See Argyll VII  No 171 & footnotes.

This parish lost Ardachuple (4m) to Glendaruel after 1642 (Minutes of the Synod of Argyll I p 50). Glentarsen was also supposed to be dismembered and attached to Kilmun but 1½m Glentarsen still appears within Inverchaolain parish in 1751.
