There is a noticeable absence of Norse names in Glen Roy and Glen Spean.
Bohuntinville may be another name for Bothynton Moir which appears separately to Bothynton in the 1443-4 list.
Fraser-Mackintosh : Antiquarian Notes (1897) pp 164-6 gives a document concerning a family of Macdonalds who claimed to be the hereditary standard-bearers for Mackintosh. It is dated 1727 and asserts that the family have held this office for over 300 years. Accordingly they had a rent deduction for their tenancy of ‘Murligan and Glen Glaster’. On p 166 Fraser-Mackintosh claims that Clachaig (NN 3881) was the bard’s croft.
