GD220/1/A/5/4/8  18 Oct 1599 gives a description of the lands which comprised Killearn parish. The NRS transcript reads:

Tack by Mr James Gillespie, parson and vicar of the parish kirk of Killearn to John Graham in Killearn, his heirs and assignees of the teind sheaves of the towns and lands following: Kilmonans, Easter and Wester Lechers, Easter and Wester Achinidan, the lands of the wood of Ledlewan, Ledlewan, Geilistoun, Moss of Gillistoun, Carstoun, Letters Easter and Wester, Treinbeg, Killearn, Meikle Carbeth, Little Carbeth, Boquhan more, Branshogle, Ballikinrain, Garhill, Hiltoun of Balglas, Mains of Balglass, Balhennat, Glenboig Cunningham, Glenboig McKoune, Glenboig Edmonstone and the mill lands of Rynroy and all remaining lands in the parish of Killearn and the sheriffdom of Stirling.

Most of these lands will be found in the accompanying table. The list begins in the SW corner of Killearn parish, just west of Strathblane, working north to Killearn and then east along the south bank of the Endrick.

GD86/97 1531 is an interesting record of a dispute concerning the parish clerkship – not least because it gives a long list of parishioners.

The table gives 92m in Killearn which suggests at least 3 carucates. Given the gaps in the land-assessment record it was more probably 4 carucates or arachors.
