Irving (Vol II p 288 ff) states that Row was formed in 1648 from parts of Rosneath and Cardross. I have not tried to reconstruct the older parishes of Rosneath and Cardross but Fraser, Chiefs of Colquhoun, II, p 102, gives further information.

 

The total for Row (including Glen Fruin) is 140¼m.
