The components of Strathblane seem to have been as follows

  1. a) A carucate or arachor of Mugdock worth £20 (30m).
  2. b) A half-carucate or half-arachor of Kirklands worth £10 (15m).
  3. c) A carucate or arachor of Duntreath worth £20 (30m).
  4. d) Another carucate of Ballewan, Cuilt and Arlehaven worth £20 (30m)?
  5. e) Other farms such as Blairquhosh, Quinloch, Auchengillan etc.

The total seems to have been at least 3½ carucates worth at least 105m. My table suggests 104½m.

There are references to ‘horsegangs’ in a 1726 Rental of the Kirklands printed by Guthrie Smith (Appendix IV p 316). I think these are a late intrusion which can be ignored for land-assessment purposes.
