* Although the charter of confirmation is dated 1569 the original was 1567.
** I have shown the OPS readings because they were taken from the Register of the Privy Seal. In the printed register (RSS VI (587) 1569) no details are given. However there is a footnote to the effect that variant spellings are Corlmoir and Ardescaig – neither of which agree with OPS.
Half of each of 14 component farms (making only 12 units since 4 farms are paired) are listed in RMS IV (1845) 1569 (on an original of 1567).
Half of each of 15 farms are listed in RMS V (2042) 1591-2. The bishopric farm of Auchmoir is now included.
21 farms are listed in Retours (Ross) (117) 1662 – parish of Aplecroce.
Corchery (1567) is probably Tercherrie (1662) since the letters ‘C’ and ‘T’ were often mistaken for each other.
Kalnakill seems to appear twice in the the 1662 list – as Culdnakle and Culnakle.
