Irving states (Vol II p 306) that before c. 1650 Cardross did not extend much west of the modern church but that there were detached parts of the parish in Glen Fruin and on Garelochside. These then migrated to the new parish of Row whilst Cardross was extended west to Camiseskan. (Ballernikbeg, for instance, is described in 1571 as being in Cardross).
I find 125½m in the parish of Cardross but it must be remembered that the modern parish is a late creation. 125½m suggests just over 4 carucates of which one was the royal estate.
